Update on Patchogue-Holbrook Road Bridge Project

The Lake Ronkonkoma Civic Organization reached out to Assemblyman Al Graf to get an update on the Patchogue-Holbrook Road bridge over the Long Island Expressway.  Many of our members have asked the civic for news on this reconstruction as it seems to be moving at a slow pace with no end in sight.

According to the Assemblyman:

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016. It has been delayed by a truck accident and inclement weather. The work is done from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am. This is a much more involved project than the Ronkonkoma Avenue bridge: there will be a new structural bridge deck, new roadway approaches, wider shoulder lanes, a new sidewalk, improved traffic signals, and new landscaping. The New York State Department of Transportation appreciates the patience and cooperation of motorists during this important project.

We'll continue to pass along any additional information we receive on the status of this bridge work.
